Aegean is not simply an archipelago. It is a sea of history, culture, colours and flavours. A sea of experiences and senses. In fact, Aegean is the history of its people. From the mysterious Minoites up to the current visitors of the Aegean islands, people shaped this sea and this sea shaped them.
The educational programs “Plous” offer courses of Greek language for foreigners in Syros*. Through the courses and the educational activities, the students have the opportunity to speak to natural speakers of Greek, to collaborate with other foreign students acquiring cross-cultural knowledge and to experience the everyday life and the culture of a Cycladic island that brought out the first urban class in Greece.
*Syros is in a distance of 3 hours and 45' from Piraeus with conventional boat and only 2.30 hours with speedboat. Because it is situated in the center of Cyclades the visitor can make daily trips in Tinos (45' with conventional boat), in Mykonos (1.15'), in Paros (1 hour), in Naxos (2.10'). For the rest of the islands of Cyclades exists internal connection with boats that start from Syros.
