Greek language and culture program for 2008
“Plus” organizes all the year round Greek language courses. The lessons are intensive and divided in two-week courses. The students can extend their attendance to more weeks, if they require.
For summer 2008 the following courses are scheduled at the Captain’s Hotel, in Kini, a beautiful coastal village:

For the rest of the months courses are being organized upon request of the students at the Guesthouse Lila in Hermoupolis.
Tuition fees
- Tuition fees for 2 weeks: 600 euros
- Additional week: 250 euros
- Private courses: 30 euros / hour
Notes
- Tuition fees include: books and other materials, participation in the educational activities of the seminars (20 more hours)
- Groups consist of 4-5 students. In case that there are only 2 persons in a group the hours will be 3 instead of 4 per day
- Students are given a written test in Modern Greek Language, before their arrival, in order to determine their placement in the appropriate level
The educational and cultural activities (20 hours) include
- Excursion / hiking to Apano Meria
- Guided tour to the medieval village of Ano Syros
- Conducted tour around the historical center of the town, where there are many buildings of neoclassical architecture
- A visit to the archeological museum, the Apollo theatre and the Town Hall
- Opportunity to attend local festivals of music and art such as: festivals of classical and opera music, painting exhibition e.t.c.
- A visit to a factory where the local delicacies, loukoumia, are made
- Greek cookery lesson
- Greek dance lessons
