BilingualLife aims to enable all children to become bilingual by the age of seven so that they can become independent, bilingual students.
Children’s brains are designed to learn many languages easily from birth until the age of seven. After that critical period, this “language gate” in the brain “closes”, so language acquisition is no longer natural, but instead relies on logical processing and rule memorization.
The age of seven is the beginning of the end for natural language acquisition, so it is important that children start early.
With BilingualLife, parents do not have to be able to teach or speak English.
Their role is to share, support and encourage. Many parents learn together with their children through BilingualLife’s “You learn, I learn” approach.
BilingualLife learners will become familiar with the sounds and basic grammatical and syntactical structures of the English language, and will also acquire basic vocabulary and communication skills relevant to their preschool age.
Throughout their lives they will acquire vocabulary faster, learn to read English more easily, and have an overall smoother learning curve when it comes to the English language.
As a result, they will be able to access more information in English earlier as they become bilingual readers and speakers, thus saving themselves precious time and effort later.
